1. What types of services do you provide?

The Workforce Services staff at the BRAC Transition Center provides a complete range of career transition services for workers impacted by the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC). These services include assistance with career planning and career success strategy development, job search and identification, analyzing job announcements, developing competitive resumes and employment application information, federal resume development and application assistance, interview preparation, career counseling, and Career Enhancement workshops.


2. Who is eligible for your services?

Department of Defense civilian and contractor employees whose jobs have been impacted by BRAC and their spouses and dependents.


3. What are the Career Enhancement Workshops and how does a person register for them?

These workshops provided by national experts in the federal employment process are provided monthly in the BRAC Transition Center. Workshop topics include: how to achieve federal employment success; how to successfully complete the federal hiring process; and how to conduct successful employment interviews. In addition to these workshops provided at the BRAC Center, workshops can also be provided on site at the invitation of BRAC’d DOD agencies.


4. How do I make an appointment for one-on-one assistance with a Career Counselor at the BRAC Center?

To make an individual appointment for career transition assistance email either Sandra Smith or Amy Seales. It is recommended that interested BRAC-impacted individuals attend the Career Enhancement workshop series prior to scheduling individual appointments.


5. Does the BRAC Transition Center host Career Fairs and how do I find out when they are scheduled?

The BRAC Transition Center regularly sponsors career fair events for BRAC-impacted workers.  Click here for more information about upcoming career fairs.
